Call for Vacancy Applications Market Facilitator

The Promoting Private Sector Employment (PPSE) Programin Kosovo, financed by SDC and implemented by Swisscontact, PEM and Riinvest Institute, started on October 1st 2013 with the inception phase and started implementing on the 16thof November 2014 till 15thof November 2017. A second phase of 4 years is foreseen. To complete the team, PPSE is looking for aMarket Facilitatorinitially with emphasis on Fruits and Vegetables and Non-Wood Forest Products.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Contribute to strategy development, including active review of the sector development through literature study, field investigation, exchange platforms, etc.;
• Networking with market actors and maintaining the network of core value chain actors, service providers and actors in the regulatory framework;
• Design of interventions based on sustainable business models;
• Deal making with selected partners and preparation of intervention plans, including budget, result chains and measurement plan;
• Continuous monitoring and results measurement of sector interventions;
• Apply the Market System Development approach throughout implementation in sectors;
• Mainstream gender and social inclusion issues in sector interventions;
• Work in teams

Minimum requirements:

• Minimum of Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics or other agri-business related discipline;
• 3-5  years professional experience in a similar position;
• Analytical skills combined with ways to operationalize;
• High level ofentrepreneurial skills, own initiative, creativity and out-of-the-box thinking;
• Experience with private sector development/market access/business development services at sector or value chain level;
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English and Albanian;
• Ability to travel extensively in Kosovo;;
• Good team player;

Desirables:

• Network of market actors involved in the food processing sector or in private sector development or SME promotion in general;
• Experience with gender mainstreaming and Women’s Economic Empowerment
• Communication in Serbian or language of other minorities
